Shuffled to fourth after taking the early lead, Youmakemyheartsing found the Lightning Lane in time and captured the featured dash on Wednesday, June 5 at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $16,438 claiming handicap.
Youmakemyheartsing shot to the point from post seven for Mike Wilder, but as the field turned for home, he had no path outside. Wilder guided the nine-year-old Some Heart Throb-You Make Me Smile gelding to the winning route inside, and he poured through to score in 1:53. Kilowatt Kid N, who also lacked racing room, was second, a half length back, with Roll With JR third.
Kevin Johnson trains Youmakemyheartsing, who now has banked $292,610 in his career, for Rocky Wingfield.
Shawn Johnston, Dave Palone, Ridge Warren, Ronnie Wrenn and trainer Dirk Simpson each enjoyed a double on the 13-race card.
