Screen Test circled from the back of the pack to capture the Saturday evening (June 4) featured pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The opening quarter was hot in the $3,300 Preferred Pace as My Land guarded the pylons and parked Burn Out Hanover past the :27 first station. Burn Out Hanover then acquired the lead but had to contend with the first-over Rose Run Quest past the :56.4 half with eventual winner Screen Test following second over. Three-quarters were reached in 1:26.1 and Screen Test and driver Corey MacPherson then pounced around the last turn to prevail by a length in 1:55. Rose Run Quest was second with Burn Out Hanover third. Ron Gass trains Screen Test for William Andrew of Calgary, Alta., and Kickin Horse Stable of York, P.E.I.

Rollwithhottytoddy was the quickest winner of the night as the three-year-old son of Rollwithitharry stopping the clock in 1:53.4 in a $2,150 conditioned class for driver Gilles Barrieau, trainer and co-owner Trevor Hicken and co-owners Todd and Trish Hardy of Windsor, N.S.

The evening program had a notable event on the latter half of the program as Silverhill Buddy  and Damian MacLellan won Race 7 in 1:57 for trainer David Myers. Then the horse’s younger full-brother Silverhilllightnin and driver Marc Campbell won the following race in 1:57.3 from the Stacey Lund stable.
