Post nine was no problem for Sue Anne as she and driver Louis-Philippe Roy scored in what was the unexpected lone $8,000 Prospect Series division for three-year-old trotting fillies on Sunday, June 30 at Georgian Downs. A starting gate malfunction following the eighth race resulted in the cancellation of the final two races on the card, including the scheduled second division of the Prospect Series.

Starting from the far outside, Roy settled Sue Anne into the fifth spot while Moxiebow (Scott Wray) led to the quarter in :30. Roy sent the 4-5 favourite first-up to the lead at the half in :59.4, before clearing and leading the field of fillies to three-quarters in 1:30.1. Turning for home, Sue Anne began to seperate from the field, opening up by 3-1/4 lengths crossing the wire in 2:00.4. Hallie Intheclouds (Austin Sorrie) finsihed second, with Damsel Seelster (Brett MacDonald) third.

The victory was the first of 2024 through eight starts for the daughter of Muscle Mass-Dalliance Seelster. Driver Louis-Philippe Roy co-owns along with Pierre-Luc Roy, Maude Larouche and Jean Allaire. Trained by Eric Nadeau, the victory was one of two on the card for the driver/trainer combination, with the duo scoring with Coeuratout Du Lac in a $7,900 two-year-old filly pace event.
