Truro Raceway, Ltd. is announcing Anthony Stymest as the new interim Director of Racing.
Truro Raceway has been looking to fill this role since former General Manager, Kelly MacEachen, announced her plans to resign last fall.
In the new staffing configuration, Truro Raceway will see the Director of Racing manage the operation of the facility and promotion of the sport. MacEachen will assume a role as Manager of Racing Experience, focusing on the race day events and the fans.
With dedicated positions and with the grandstand refurbishments well underway, Truro Raceway feels prepared to launch into future seasons. “We have run with a skeleton staff for a long time, and this will be a much-welcomed addition to help steer this ship toward major success,” said MacEachen.
Stymest has led the Board of Directors at Truro Raceway Ltd. since 2018 and has over 40 years involvement in the industry as a fan, trainer, breeder, owner, sponsor, and board member. He is passionate about harness racing and wants to see the sport and industry grow in Nova Scotia.
