The tandem of driver Marc St. Louis and trainer Danielle Neil put on clinics in their respective categories Saturday evening at Hiawatha Horse Park thanks to their respective three- and five-win performances.
St. Louis and Neil joined forces to capture Race 3 with Guido Hanover (2:00.1), and they also teamed up to take Race 7 with Dontwantatalkaboutit (1:56.4) and Race 8 with Kahlua Morning (1:55.2).
Two more catch-driving scores with The Loan Ranger (1:53.4) in Race 9 and Tomy Terror (1:55.4) in Race 10 gave St. Louis the five-bagger while Neil was relishing her hat trick performance.
With five trips to victory lane St. Louis now has 204 victories on the season and purse earnings in excess of $1 million. As for Neil, she continues to enjoy a career season thanks to her win total that now stands at 70 and purse earnings exceeding $300,000. Both numbers represent personal bests for the conditioner.
