David Rovine, Kdp Stable and Mike Hall’s Layton Hanover ($4) was a 1:51.4 winner in Harrington Raceway's $30,822 Free-for-All Handicap Pace on Monday, June 3.
Driven by Montrell Teague, the five-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding received a second-over trip behind Effingham and rallied past pacesetter Baba O Riley near three-quarters for a two-length win. Mack was second with Effingham third.
Trained by co-owner Hall, Layton Hanover earned his fourth win of the year from nine starts and his 14th career win, boosting his bankroll to $429,885.
Later on the card, Tlb Racing’s Captaincountrystar ($2.10, Pat Berry) won his third straight race by open lengths in 1:52.
Corey Callahan had five wins on the card, three of which were for trainer Crissy Crissman-Bier.
Teague had three wins on the program.
