James Moore III's Royal Becca J ($6, Jack Parker Jr.) notched his eighth win of the year on Wednesday (June 29) at Harrington Raceway, scoring in 1:55.1 in the $16,000 Open Trot.
The four-year-old RC Royalty gelding made a bold first-over charge at leader Awsome Valley just past the half-mile and wore down the pacesetter for an impressive win. The victory was the 12th lifetime for Royal Becca J, who is trained by his driver and has four wins at the current Harrington meet.
Awsome Valley, last week's winner, was second with Cash On Delivery closing ground late for third.
In the sub-featured $12,500 Open II Trot, Richard Lombardo, Carl Alley and JJ and M Stable's Dont Rush ($3.20, Ross Wolfenden) improved to two-for-two this year with a 1:56 triumph for trainer Josh Green.
