Leaving from Post 4, Rose Run Keepsake ducked from the gate and found herself eighth at the quarter thanks to a cavalry charge for the lead. Doug Snyder moved the four-year-old daughter of Armbro Laser-Suchanicegirl just past the quarter, where she picked up live cover from American Pride.
Rose Run Keepsake relentlessly attacked the game early leader, Hawaiianphotograph, and prevailed in 1:55.4. Im Justa Lady shot the Lightning Lane for second while Hawaiianphotograph saved show.
Randy Bendis trains Rose Run Keepsake, who has 26 victories in 53 career starts for an outstanding win percentage of 49.1, and owns with Diane Novosel, Reed Broadway and James Walton.
Elsewhere on the card, Dawgs Buddy became the season’s fastest two-year-old filly pacer on a five-eighths-mile track when she triumphed at first asking in 1:55. Louis Bauslaugh drove the daughter of The Panderosa-Modern Medicine for trainer Brian Brown and Doubledawgdareme LLC.
Dave Palone drove three winners on the 13-race program.
