In spite of unpleasant weather conditions, a colorful show took place at the Hippodrome de Quebec on Sunday afternoon. Several harness racing fans braved the bad weather to cheer on their favourites and bet more than $40,000 for the second consecutive week.

Via his 1: 58 victory, Golden Vanity recorded the fastest win time of the 10-race card. The son of Omar Khayam was driven by Pierre-Luc Roy, a 24-year-old native of Mont-Joli, Quebec. Golden Vanity excelled off a pocket trip behind High Profile, who cut the fractions in :29.1, :59.3 and 1:28.3.

Earlier in the afternoon, there was no way to catch Farouche G F, a three-year-old pacing filly trained by Gaetan Fortin. The filly recorded a 1:59.2 mile with Mario Charron at the controls. Farouche G F has won in gate-to-wire style and beat Canbec Indy Go and Chief Proserco by more than 20 lengths.

Driver Mario Charron had a driving hat-trick during the card, which saw him notch victories aboard Farouche G F, Northern Crown and Special Diva Am.

The program of live racing at Hippodrome de Quebec is scheduled for Sunday, July 3. The card is slated to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
