The Meadowlands will race three days for the next two weeks, adding Thursday on June 30 and July 7, mainly to accommodate the overnight horses while the two-year-old New Jersey Sire Stakes (NJSS) stakes are raced.
NJSS two-year-old trots will likely fill the Thursday card. There are a few overnights written as subs and if they are not used for Thursday they will be written back for the weekend.
The box for the Thursday cards will close at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 and post time remains 6:20 p.m.
The heart of the "Championship Meet" is now upon us, so each card will include stakes from now until Hambletonian Day on August 6.
Next Friday's stakes are the Reynolds stakes for three-year-old colt & filly trotters, which may split and cover three or four races.
Saturday's card will feature the top older horses with the Roll With Joe pace and Crawford Farms trot along with the newly christened Perfect Sting mare pace and Six Pack mare trot. The Roll With Joe is the only stake that could split, so there's a possibility for four or five races from stakes on Saturday.
Overnight-wise, there will be the finals for a few short series. No new series are planned. There will be two-year-old races and a three-year-old colt open to serve as a prep for the Meadowlands Pace eliminations on July 9.
