.
Brown got away last with Artistic Queen in the opener, but the mare quickly surged into contention and eventually drew clear to win by 1-1/2 lengths in 2:01.3 for trainer Blake Curran. A more aggressive approach was taken by Brown, however, in Race 2 but it netted the same result – a win. All That Jazz was parked past the quarter pole in :28.3 before clearing and sailing down the road to win by 8-1/4 lengths in 1:58.4.
Hava Kadabra helped Brown nail the driving hat trick thanks to his front-stepping score in Race 6 for trainer Mark Steacy. The gelding drew clear to win by six lengths in 1:58.1. Brown found the line just in time with the Bradley Barr-trained Mibestkeptsecret in Race 9. The four-year-old daughter of Cammibest ended up winning by a nose over Sans Frontiere in a time of 1:56.4. Brown teamed up with trainer Steacy for a win in Race 11 with Rocknroll Diva, who rallied to win in 1:59.1. The tally was the fifth on the program for teamster Brown.
The Brighton, Ontario reinsman, who is just shy of $800,000 in purse earnings this season, has already racked up 147 wins in 2011 and that brings his lifetime total to 3,366.
