Leaving from Post 6 in the seven-horse affair with Shane Forward in the bike, the eight-year-old Grinfromeartoear mare got away third as Machthemoment (Rod Forward) rolled to the front and put up the first quarter in :29.4. From there, Whitesand Dimples moved first up for the challenge and was left hung out through the middle panels of 1:00.4 and 1:33.2 as Machthemoment maintained his two-length lead. As the field bypassed the third quarter mark, Lady Jessie (Gord Fleming) angled wide from second-over, but Whitesand Dimples kicked into action down the lane and came on for the one-length score in 2:04.
Machthemoment and Lady Jessie finished second and third.
Trained by Scott Forward for Robert Clarke of Goulds, Nfld., Whitesand Dimples lifted her bankroll to $81,621 with her 34th career win.
