Tyler Buter won five races at Tioga Downs on Sunday, June 23, including the $12,000 featured pace with Prairie Panther.
In the feature Americanprimetime went to the front and led to a first quarter in :26.2. Prairie Panther then took over control before hitting the half in :54.1.
Prairie Panther, who is owned by trainer Mike Deters and Laurie Poulin, led to three-quarters in 1:22.1. Americanprimetime had the pocket ride and was all set to challenge, but Prairie Panther found another gear and flew to a last quarter of :27.3 to win in a career-best 1:49.4. Americanprimetime settled for second best and Motown N finished third.
Prairie Panther is a five-year-old gelding by Royal Millennium. It was his seventh win in 12 starts this season. He now owns 28 victories and paid $2.50 to win.
Buter got his first win on the card with Ponyta Boy ($2.20), who finished in a dead-heat with Better Bangbang (Aaron Byron). His other wins came with Seal The Deal N ($5.30), Crius N Rock ($3.20), and CC Big Boy Sam ($6.00),
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Friday, June 28 with a 10-race card featuring Geers Stakes races for three-year-old pacers. Post time is 6:15 p.m.
