Lindsey Kerr sent out three victors on the Saturday evening, June 22 card at Hiawatha Horse Park.
Thejackofdiamonds ($2.50) was the first to return to the winner's circle for Kerr in a $4,400 conditioned pace. Garrett Rooney and Thejackofdiamonds got away second and maintained that position through panels in :28, :59.2 and 1:28.1. As the outer flow stalled, Thejackofdiamonds met pacesetting Angry Angel (Alex Lilley) on even terms. Down to the wire, The jackofdiamonds prevailed by a neck in 1:57.3. Come See Come Saw (Donald Rankin) completed the triactor. Breeder Sally Charlton owns the sophomore Betterthancheddar-Got Some Spark colt.
Kerr returned for her second picture in the distaff claimer worth $3,800 with Andy Moore piloting Earlybird Special ($7.20) to a half-length victory in 1:56.4 over Iwishihadame (Anthony Hamlin) and Time To Imagine (Scott Wray). Earlybird Special is a six-year-old Bettors Delight-Miss Sand Creek mare owned by Jeffrey Mayhew, Rebecca Masters and Derek Romano.
Finally, Letjimitakeover ($18.10) completed the training hat trick with a 1:57.1 score by three-quarters of a length. Donald Rankin provided the winning drive to top Barefoot Belle (Rooney) and Speak Of War (Robert Doyle). Sally Charlton co-owns the Big Jim-Flight Of An Angel colt with Rebecca Maters, Marc Adams and Chad Rogers.
