Ontario-owned, bred and sired pacing mare CMR Maybe Loaded extended her lead in the North American standings for most wins this year with another solid performance at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Friday night.
Returning to the track after a two week break, CMR Maybe Loaded ($5.30) converted a pocket trip into a 1:57.2 triumph in her $6,500 claiming assignment for driver Stephane Gendron and conditioner Jamie Copley.
Her 14th win of the season (third straight) gives her the title of North America's winningest standardbred and a two-point lead over millionaire trotter Winning Mister and Cal Expo pacers Albion and Incredible Gambler, all tied for second in the standings with 12 wins each.
The nine-year-old Fully Loaded mare, who earned all of her wins this year in Copley's care, is owned by Saverino and Graziano Spagnolo of Ottawa, Ont. She boasts 48 victories on her lifetime record and more than $300,000 in purse earnings.
