Three $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for three-year-olds took center stage Tuesday
on Miss Delaware night at Harrington Raceway.
Bryan O. Truitt and Bryan J. Truitt’s Iosmio (Bryan Truitt, $7) won the first division, and in doing so she was one of three fillies on the night to sweep both elimination legs. The Badlands Hanover filly overcame post eight for a 1:56.1 triumph over Brite Olive and Naughty Indeed.
Badlands Racing and George Teague Jr. took the next two divisions with No Bad Luck ($2.10, Montrell Teague) and Model Legs ($2.80, Corey Callahan), who were also repeat elimination winners.
No Bad Luck outfought a game Lets Get Fizzical to the wire in her division in 1:57.1. New Manhattan was third. Meanwhile, Model Legs outlasted Sucha Bad Girl in a similar stretch duel in 1:55.3.
Miss Delaware Kayla Martell and fellow contestants were on hand for the third division and presented the trophy to the winning connections of Model Legs. The $100,000 DSBF Finals will take place Thursday July 29 on Governor’s Day during the Delaware State Fair.
In the $20,000 Mares Open, Rodney L. and Rodney K. Wyatt’s Ireneonthemove ($5.40, Corey Callahan) earned her third win of the year in 1:53.3 over Alpine Gold and Hopefull.
Driver Corey Callahan had four driving winners on the card.
