The seventh installment of the 2009 Hambletonian/Breeders Crown Standardbred Poll was released
earlier today, and for the seventh week in a row the top spot belongs to Lucky Jim.
The Julie Miller pupil, who hasn’t raced since taking the $250,000 Maxie Lee Memorial on May 31, fetched 32 of this week’s first-place votes. Mister Big, who was an impressive winner in last weekend’s $200,000 Dan Patch at Hoosier Park, was the only other horse to pick up a first-place vote.
