Sensi Amnesia and Paradise Moni were repeat winners in the Series Quebecoises for older trotters on Friday, June 20 at Hippodrome 3R.

Trainer/driver Marie-Claude Auger's homebred Sensi Amnesia kicked off the second leg of the series with a wire-to-wire victory in the $6,000 mares division, lowering her lifetime mark to 1:58.2.

Crossing to command in the field of five into the opening turn, Sensi Amnesia set fractions of :28.3, :59 and 1:28.1 before holding off MVPs Daughter (Robert Shepherd), who had inherited the pocket trip when her stablemate La Bromontoise (Jerome Lombart) broke stride down the backstretch and closed within half a length of the winner along the pylons while Cleomax Duharas (Loic Gueriel), the 4-5 bettors' choice, chased outside in third.

A four-year-old daughter of Muscle Mass and Torches Angel, Sensi Amnesia now has three (consecutive) wins from nine seasonal starts. A career winner of seven races, she has earned $63,210 in purses.

Sensi Amnesia was sent postward as the 7-5 second choice and paid $4.90 to win.

The Jean-Francois Maguire-trained Paradise Moni took command from his leading stablemate Royalty Beer, also a round one winner, heading into the stretch and opened up more than three lengths to win the $6,000 male trot division in 1:57 flat.

Parked from the start, Royalty Beer (Pascal Berube) worked past Frido PV (Auger) after a :28.1 quarter then set middle splits of :57.2 and 1:27.4 with fellow Maguire trainee Paradise Moni, who was gapped through the first half in fourth, advancing down the backstretch to his outside for driver Denis St. Pierre. Paradise Moni rushed by in the final turn and kept on rolling to victory lane. Kenogami Coco (Robert Shepherd) took second and Frido PV finished third over Royalty Beer.

Owned by Maguire and Ecuries Maguire Inc., the four-year-old International Moni-Jessies Song gelding earned his fourth win of the season from 16 starts and ninth victory lifetime, pushing his bankroll to $58,266.

As part of the 1-9 favoured entry, Paradise Moni paid $2.10 to win.

Trainer David Pilon had a perfect day at the races going three-for-three during on the nine-dash card, starting with the debuting two-year-old pacing filly Be Perfect ($5), sired by Perfect Sting out of JK Mardi Says, in 1:57.2. He also sent out a pair of older pacers to victories: American Zestar ($3.90) in 1:55.4 and Uncontrollable ($2.30) in 1:56.1. Pascal Berube drove all three Pilon-trained winners.
