Sub-1:50 pacer Ultimaroca led all auctions on Tuesday afternoon (June 20) at onGait, selling for a six-figure price tag.
Ultimaroca brought a winning bid of $167,000 from Mark Ford of New York. Selling from the Ron Burke consignment, the five-year-old son of Rockin Image has earned more than $100,000 so far in 2023 with a record reading 6-4-4 from 22 starts. Ultimaroca took his mark of 1:49.2 at Harrah's Philadelphia last year and boasts 24 career wins and more than $360,000 in lifetime earnings.
The Ron Burke stable also sold Deliciousstone DK 8,1:52.3f for $61,000 to Anthony MacDonald's The Stable as well as three unraced two-year-olds. Queenoftheclub, a Southwind Frank filly, sold for $9,400 to Calvin Hoover of Pennsylvania; the Sweet Lou son, Whats The Craic, sold for $6,800 to Eddie Mendez's EVM Racing LLC of Delaware; and the Captain Crunch first-cropper, Crispandcrunchy, sold for $4,800 to Ohio's Westgate Farms.
Also on Tuesday, Jen Bongiorno was the high bidder for the Kadabra roan trotter, Urntrouble Hanover 4,1:54s, for $27,000 and Alvira Capone Fassett of Pennsylvania bought Now Wish Me Luck 3,1:54.4s, an Indiana-bred Crescent Fashion filly, also for $27,000.
