Like Old Times crossed the finish line in 1:55 in Monday’s $13,500 Open Trot at Northfield Park, and that made her the fastest four-year-old female trotter in the history of the half-mile oval.
The clocking formally broke the 1:55.2 record by Barn Girl (Joe Bongiorno) set earlier this year.
Keith Ross owns Like Old Times, who is trained by Don Mc Kirgan. Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. was in the sulky for the winning drive.
Like Old Times, a daughter of Chip Chip Hooray-Royal Two, started from post three. She led her competition through fractions of :27.4, :57.1 and 1:26.2 before powering home in :28.3 for the 1:55 score.
