A 36-time career winner prior to Friday's harness racing card at Century Downs Racetrack and Casino, Rick Schneider's 13-year-old homebred pacer Bomber Brown finally added a Calgary victory to his resume.

Circling three-wide approaching the third quarter mark in the seventh race, Bomber Brown and driver Brandon Campbell stormed by pacesetter Best Out West and drew off to a nine and a half length victory in 1:58.1. The gelding pulled off a 15-1 upset in doing so.

The fastest and richest son of General Knight, Bomber Brown had raced in Calgary during the final days of Stampede Park's last harness meet back in 2006 and was making his seventh start at the inaugural Century Downs meet. He earned his prior wins at Edmonton's Northlands Park, Lacombe's Alberta Downs, Grande Prairie's Evergreen Park and Cal Expo in Sacramento, California.

The meet's leading horseman, Travis Cullen, held on by a head with sophomore colt Sports Wizard to complete his Friday training and driving triple in the ninth race finale. His was also victorious with pacing mares Wigejet and the streaking Gottaluckydeal, who had a combined winning margin of 15 lengths.
