All three two-year-old qualifying races were won in wire-to-wire fashion on Friday morning (June 2) at Woodbine Mohawk Park and Miki Ray topped the qualifying card for the fastest two-year-old race time.

Jody Jamieson was at the controls of the Carl Jamieson trainee as he controlled the tempo in :31, 1:01 and 1:31.1 before drawing away to a 7-1/2 length victory in 1:58.2. It was the debut appearance for Miki Ray (Always B Miki - Victoria Semalu), co-owned by Carl and Jody Jamieson.

Bob McClure and Kittys Column posted the second fastest time after fractions of :30.3, 1:01.3 and 1:32 led to a 5-1/2 length win in 1:59.4. The daughter of Sportswriter and Kitty Kitty Hawk made her first track appearance for owners Richard Beinhauer, Paul Reid and Patrick Dillon.

Catch A Thief (International Moni - Legal Lady) led the only field of freshman trotters through panels in :31.4, 1:03.3 and 1:34.1 before crossing the wire 5-3/4 lengths in front in 2:03.2. Louis-Philippe Roy was in the bike for trainer Amanda Fine and owner Steve Heimbecker.

The fastest qualifying time on the card came from a four-year-olds and older pace race in 1:51.4. Woodmere Stealdeal and Jonathan Drury sat in the pocket behind Points North (James MacDonald) through each panel in :28, :56.4 and 1:24.4. Down the stretch, the Carmen Auciello trainee challenged his stablemate and successfully won by 1-1/2 lengths with a last quarter in :26.4.
