It was a stakes filled day Sunday at Red Shores Summerside featuring the Ruby Chappell Stake for three-year-old fillies and the three-year-old colts showcasing in the Bob Dewar Memorial.

Sunshine, 23 and a lightening fast track greeted the participants.

Forever Paradise posted the fastest time of the afternoon with a 1:56.4 clocking in the final division of the Bob Dewar Memorial. The three-year-old colt, under the command of Marc Campbell, took charge of the field past the opening quarter to record his first stake win of the 2013 campaign for trainer Kevin MacLean and owners Reg MacPherson and David MacKenzie of Stratford, P.E.I. and Aaron MacKenzie of Winlsoe, P.E.I.

Campbell also took two divisions of the Ruby Chappell Memorial when Western Judy held off Windemere Maggie to capture the hardware in 2:00.1 for owner Blair Hansen of Charlottetown and Howmacs Princess took the major share of the $5,410 purse for trainer Earl Watts, Howmac Farms Ltd. of North Wiltshire, P.E.I. and Wade Pecconi of Breadalbane, P.E.I.

Kenny Arsenault also had multiple stake winners on the 12-dash card. Misssassy Attitude leveled the competition in the first Ruby Chappell Memorial for trainer Ken Wilkie and his co-owner Larry Chappell of Marshfield, P.E.I. Untouchable One delivered as the post time favourite in his respective division of the Dewar Memorial in 1:57.1 for the Dooley Boys Racing Stable of Halifax, N.S.

The other winners of the Ruby Chappell Stake for three-year-old fillies were Icandothat (Ryan Ellis) and Dianna Santanna (Brodie MacPhee).
