Breakfast With The Babies continued at The Meadowlands on Saturday (June 19) and if the morning's results are any indication it's looking to be another dominant season for 2020 U.S. Trainer of the Year Nancy Takter.

The fastest mile of the morning came in the 11th baby race courtesy pacing filly Lake Dora and driver Gingras. That duo allowed stablemate Bermuda (Dexter Dunn) to set fractions of :29.2, :58.3 and 1:27 before angling to the outside at the head of the lane to blow by through a :27 final panel and trip the timer in 1:54.1. A 1:55 winner over Lake Dora two weeks ago, Bermuda was more than two lengths in arrears with Kele Kele (Mark MacDonald) recovering well from a bobble at the beginning to rally for third.

Owned by Rojan Stables of Wilmington, Del., Caviart Farms of Vienna, Va. and R A W Equine Inc. of Burlington, Ont., Lake Dora (Captaintreacherous - Bodacious Hanover) comes by her speed honestly as her full sister Key West won her second lifetime start at The Meadowlands in 1:51.1 back in 2018. The connections paid $95,000 for Lake Dora at the 2020 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale and entrusted her to Nancy Takter.

Trotting filly Mon Cheval is going to make a lot of people wish they could say 'she's my horse' after a scintillating performance. The daughter of 2010s trotting titans Father Patrick - Shake It Cerry made every call a winning one for Takter and driver Dexter Dunn, trotting through splits of :28.4. :58.0 and 1:26.3 before sprinting home in :27.4 to win by more than three lengths over Yanaba (Dan Daley) in 1:54.2.

The second foal and first filly from her award-winning dam, Mon Cheval is a homebred of Solveigs Racing Partners of East Windsor, N.J.

Wearinmysixshooter kept the ball rolling for Team Takter and two-year-olds impressive in their second outing of the season off a two-week break. After making a solid debut on June 5, Wearinmysixshooter was holstered by driver Tim Tetrick, sitting the pocket behind Tuf Cooper (Mark MacDonald) through fractions of :30.2, :58.4 and 1:27.3 before unleashing at the head of the lane and coming out guns-a-blazing with a :26.4 closing quarter to break the beam in 1:54.3.

Perry Soderberg of of Wellington, Fl. plunked down $67,000 to collar Wearinmysixshooter (Captaintreacherous - Just Like Kate) at the Harrisburg / Timonium sale last November.

Takter trainees would emerge victorious from another six qualifiers to give the trainer nine baby race wins on the morning. The rest of the winners from the morning for Takter included trotters Selfie Queen (Gingras; 1:57.4), Tippet (Jimmy Takter; 1:59), Looks Like Moni (Tetrick; 1:57.4) and pacers JK I Feel Fine (Tetrick; 1:57.1), Market Based (Gingras; 1:55) and Navigator (Josert Fonseca; 1:55.1).

Regally-bred King Of The North logged the fastest mile among male trotters on the morning, dropping more than three seconds from his impressive debut two weeks ago. Mark MacDonald settled the son of Walner - Check Me Out into third early behind Testing Testing (David Miller), looping to the lead after the :30.2 opener and then doing all the heavy lifting. After midway panels of :59.2 and 1:27.3, King Of The North powered home in :27.2 for an impressive 1:55 speed badge.

Trained by Ray Schnittker, King Of The North was a $190,000 Lexington purchase by New York-based owners Schnittker Ward, Arden Homestead Stable, Nolamaura Racing LLC and Steven Arnold.
