Gord McDonnell batted at 100 per cent training average on Sunday afternoon at Dresden Raceway sending out three winners from his barn during the 11-race program

McDonnell, the track’s leading trainer, teamed up with driver Alex Lilley to get the job with all three of his Sunday starts during the second half of the program. Seven-year-old Electric Yankee mare Little Miss Ivy and five-year-old Modern Art mare Taylorlane Fancy went back-to-back in the seventh and eighth races while six-year-old Real Artist mare Roxanna Hanover prevailed in her 11th race assignment, her second win in a row.
The resident of Essex, Ont. has won 23 races so far this year and has earned over $100,000 in purses. His triple pushes his overall training win total to 681 while his career earnings stand at $3.3 million.
