Legal Litagator (Jason Bartlett) made short work of his Saturday night foes, winning Yonkers Raceway's $42,500 Open Handicap Pace in a snappy 1:51.4

.

The only leaver--from post position No. 4--Legal Litigator worked around pocket-sitting Lindys Bandit (Brent Holland) well before a :28.1 opening quarter-mile. He then found a :56.4 intermission before Giddy Up Lucky (Stephane Bouchard), the 3-2 favourite, moved from third.

However, Giddy Up Lucky wound up pacing in place. That left Legal Litigator to his own devices at 1:23.4 three-quarters, taking a length-and-a-half advantage turning for home.

Legal Litigator easily held off "Lindy" by 2-3/4 lengths, with River Shark (Brandon Simpson), Giddy Up Lucky and Arts Ragin Jet (Jim Pantaleano) completing the cashers.

For Legal Litigator, a five-year-old Camluck gelding owned by Bob Hamather and trained by Casie Coleman, he returned $5.80 (second choice) for his fourth win in 18 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $44, with the triple returning $337.

New York Sire Stakes action continues Tuesday night, with the $282,812 Art Watson Pace for three-year-old fillies drawn and quartered (races 5 through 8).
