Trix And Stones was the lone three-year-old in Tuesday’s featured trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and his elders weren’t about to let him live up the pari-mutuel hype that circled around him in the $19,000 affair.

Instead, it was Treasured Tee who took the bull by the horns and powered to a career-best clocking of 1:52.4 for owner/driver Trevor Henry.

Cindy Lynn was the quickest one off the starting gate, and she had the field lined up behind her at the opening quarter in :27.1. Treasured Tee brushed to the front as soon as the field hit the backstretch, and he proceeded to carve out middle panels of :55.4 and 1:23.4. A :29-second closing quarter was used to seal the deal by 2-1/2 lengths over Tax Savings. Cindy Lynn took home the show dough. Trix And Stones, who was sent off as the 1-2 favourite, never left the rail and finished a locked in sixth.

John Cecchin trains the four-year-old son of Yankee Glide-Platinum T who won for the first time this season. The six-time winner upped his lifetime earnings to $99,596 with the triumph.
