Local standout three-year-old trotter I Like My Boss ($2.10, Jon Roberts) kept his unblemished record intact Wednesday, prevailing in one of two $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund first leg in 2:00.2.
Owned by trainer Bob Shahan, Jimmy Parsons Jr. and Ashley Parsons, the Don Boss Vita gelding improved to 10-for-10 in his career. I Like My Boss followed pacesetter LGs Pride throughout the mile before tipping to the outside near the top of the stretch and edging clear late for a half-length win. LGs Pride held second while George Junior finished third.
Winbak Farm’s Call Me Hal ($3.80, Jeff Fout) won the other division with a wire-to-wire score in 1:58 over Whichwayrightrleft and Odessa. Trained by Fout, the CR Commando gelding notched his fifth career win in 14 starts. It was a new lifetime-best for Call Me Hal.
Drivers Ross Wolfenden and George Dennis each won three races on the program. Jon Roberts had a double.
