With Saturday's NA Cup eliminations at Mohawk Racetrack arguably the most contentious in years, a quote like "we have [as] good a shot as anybody" rings very true
and could come from anyone.
In this case, the quote is attributed to Dave Menary, trainer of Western Terror colt Fast Pay, which has drawn Post 2 in the last of the four 'Cup' elims.
Menary's quote comes in an article today by the Caledonia Citizen.
"While it's an honour to be in the race, it will be more of an honour to be in the final," said Menary, who also stated, "we're definitely ready and it seems to be a wide open event."
The $1.5 million final of the Pepsi North America Cup, for three-year-old pacers, will take place over the Campbellville, Ont. oval Saturday, June 27.
