Geoff Maltby told Trot Insider that due to recent health problems the six-year-old Balanced Image gelding will take some time away from the track.

"After discussions with the owners we all decided to rest Digital for the rest of the summer with the hope he will return to form," said Maltby. "In view of Digital Image's performance his last few races, and the fact he has been at the University of Guelph a couple of times in the last month with an ongoing heart issue, we've shut him down."

With over $200,000 earned in both his four and five-year-old campaigns, Digital Image butted heads with North America's top older trotting talent and notched top three finishes in the Breeders Crown and American National last season for owners Richard Thompson, Robert Watson, Mike Bartram and John Vinen.
