The BM Stable’s Yankee Sun came from the back of the pack to win the Thursday night feature race at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving

Park in 1:59.2 for driver Kenny Arsenault.

Yankee Sun hooked up with Hutchinson Hanover in a late stretch battle, with the former prevailing by a nose in the win photo. Electric Moves finished third.

Marc Campbell added to his lead totals in the Pepsi driver standings collecting three trips to the winner’s circle on the 12-dash card. Campbell put Moneyhaha on the point to win in 2:01.4 for his co-owners, James Whelan and Trevor MacDonald of Vernon Bridge. Campbell returned in the very next race aboard Stonehouse Pleasure for owner George Brookins. The driving triple came with Sarah Catherine for the Green Oakes Farm Stable of Ontario.

Racing returns on Saturday, with the biggest card of the season featuring the Doug Harkness Memorial for three-year-old colts, the Ken Starrett Memorial for three-year-fillies and two eliminations of the Cecil Ladner Memorial.

The action will be streamed live at www.harnessracingpei.com. The first official Bell-Aliant Race Day show will take place on Saturday June 26.
