Former Canadian Trotting Association President Roly Armitage has headed over to Europe to take in the 65th anniversary of the Allies' victory in World War II. Before he left, he took some time to talk about life, death, love and

war.

The 85-year-old Armitage is featured in a yourottawaregion.com article which touches more on his life outside of the racing industry.

Armitage gives his opinion on the wide array of topics in the article.

One of the more general things he expresses in the piece is arguably one of the most basic and important. “How you treat your fellow man – that’s the most important thing,” he said. “If you treat your fellow man the way you want to be treated – the rest will take care of itself.”
