Mike Merton drove three winners on the card including the featured $10,500 fillies and mares pace with Rosey Time at Tioga Downs on Friday (June 16).
Rosey Time set fractions of :27.1, :56.2 and 1:24.2 then held off So Diva (Tom Merton) by a neck for the 1:53.1 victory. Elegant Noelle (Aaron Byron) edged out favourite Bolt Of Beauty (Marcus Miller) for third 2-1/2 lengths behind. The winner paid $6.50 at the betting windows.
Tom Speron trains Rosey Time, a six-year-old daughter of Time To Roll, for owner Emily Speron. The win was the mare's third this season from a dozen starts and she now has 16 career victories.
Merton’s other wins were with Narina Hanover ($13) and Jeannies Terror ($11).
Live harness racing returns on Saturday with an eight-race card starting at 6:15 p.m.
