There were multiple winners of the Jackpot Hi-5 wager on Friday evening (June 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park prompting a carryover of more than $176,500 for Saturday's Pepsi North America Cup program, which will end with a mandatory payout of the pool in the 15th and final race.
Friday night's $18,000 finale was won by the Jack Darling-trained filly Write Me A Song ($4.50), who built up an insurmountable lead through a :26.4 third quarter en route to victory in 1:51.1 with Jody Jamieson aboard. The favoured three-year-old daughter of Sportswriter, who took a new lifetime mark and posted the fastest mile of the night, led a winning Jackpot Hi-5 combination of 5-8-7-9-6, which kicked back a return of $628.35 for every $1 ticket. Manhattan Again, Jan, Lady Bubbles and Traffic Jam completed that top five finish order.
The Jackpot Hi-5 carryover is $176,527.41.
