Rod Hennessy made ground on the leaderboard in the trainer's standings at Century Downs with a hat-trick on the Saturday (June 16) card.
Hennessy-trained horses connected early on in Races 3 and 4 with stablemates and a pair of JK Royal Flush mares -- JK Ellem Enoh and Royal Mistress -- finding their way to the winner's circle. Hennessy himself was in the sulky for both of those wins, while Paul Davies helped complete the three-bagger with Paperback Thriller in Race 6.

Hennessy's three wins on the day close the gap on leader Sanford Campbell, who has 20 training wins to Hennessy's 18 at Century so far this meet.
