Track Record In Jeopardy?

The track record at Dresden Raceway could be in jeopardy on Sunday, June 21 as three-year-old colt pacers will be in town for the Ontario Sires Stakes.

“If conditions are right the track record could fall,” said track announcer Gary Patterson. “The track was very fast this afternoon with one mile in 1:56.1 and another mile last week in 1:55.4. It depends on the draw and what horses are coming to town but I think there is a very real possibility it could fall.”

The current track record for three-year-old colt pacers is 1:54.1, set back in 2005 by Must Be Matt and Caviarandsoftmusic. Dresden Raceway will also hold several draws for Father’s Day gifts including an Ontario Sires Stakes gift basket. Post time for the matinee program is 1 p.m.
