On Sunday afternoon at Inverness Raceway driver Red Doucet and trainer Walter Walker turned in a tag team performance that resembled that of former WWF stars Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik
.
Doucet and Walker clicked for four wins as a team, and Doucet added another catch-driving victory with Curlee Pearlee for trainer Todd Sutherland in the second race.
JK Neville gave Doucet his second trip to the winner’s circle, and it was the first of four wins on the day for Walker. The three-year-old Western Paradise miss held on to win by a nose in the fourth race in a time of 2:05.1. They returned to victory lane in the seventh race following a 2:06.4 score with Too Too Breeze.
Master Of Ceremony also clicked for Doucet and Walker. He front-stepped his way to a 2:01.2 in the eighth race, and stablemate Ride The Lightning won in 2:00.2 for that popular trainer/driver tandem in the ninth race.
Doucet’s five-win performance on Sunday improved his 2009 record to 10-3-4 from just 23 driving assignments, and that translates into a massive UDR of .565. Walker has put up some glowing numbers, as well. He has sent starters postward this season, and seven of them took the checkered flag.
