On Wednesday morning (June 13), driver Corey Callahan guided the swiftest winner on both the trot and the pace during the two-year-old qualifying session at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.

The filly, Scirocco Donnahill, became the first 2:00 trotter on a five-eighths-mile track (as reported at press time) when she won in 1:59.2. She set all the trot and then completed the mile by tacking on a :29 final quarter. The John Butenschoen trainee is a daughter of Muscle Hill out of the Donato Hanover mare UF Tadys Donato.

On the pace, Sugar Factory also made every pole a winning one. He hit the half in :59.4 and then scooted home in :55.2 to win in 1:55.1. Tom Cancelliere trains the son of Sweet Lou-Cam Swifty.

The Erv Miller stable had a particularly successful day, as it sent out four winners. Other stables that had multiple winners were those of John Butenschoen and Jake Leamon, each of which had a pair.
