Meetmeintheally wasn’t shown much support from the betting public Thursday evening at Mohawk Racetrack, and apparently the pari-mutuel snub didn’t sit well with the homebred.
Sent off at 103-1 in the $16,000 conditioned tilt, Meetmeintheally rallied to win in 1:54 for driver Doug McNair and trainer Jim Ritchie. The son of Artistic Fella-Alamode sat fourth for most of the mile before catching cover around the final turn and then sprinting home in :29.2 to secure the win by a length over Pain In The Glass. The show dough went to Official Cherokee.
Meetmeintheally paid $208.50 to win.
Paul and Jim Ritchie bred and own the maiden-breaking gelding who is now 1-for-8 in his career. He’s put more than $9,000 into his bank account during that stretch.
