The veteran millionaire, Tigerama, turned in a wire-to-wire winning performance in the featured $10,000 Preferred 2 Pace on Saturday night at Hiawatha Horse Park

.

With Brad Forward in the bike, the nine-year-old son of Village Jiffy left from Post 3 and laid down panels of :26.3, :56 and 1:24 without facing any serious challenges. The David Downey trainee, sent postward as the betting favourite, entered the stretch with a two-length lead on the field, but had to fend off the pocket-sitting Daddy Mac (Mike Sumner), who closed in on the pacesetter down the lane. Tigerama reached the wire just in time for the win in 1:52.4 while Daddy Mac finished a quarter-length back in second. Cuban Seelster (Nick Steward) was third.

Owned and bred by Robert Hamather of Exeter, Ont., Tigerama notched his second win of the season lifting his earnings to $16,178. The winner of 64 races has banked a grand total of $1,653,806 throughout his career.

The win was one of five on the 12-race program for Forward, who now sport 203 wins on his record this year and 3,326 in his career.
