Middleton Terror will headline the Tuesday evening (June 13) program at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

In line to David Dowling, Middleton Terror is the top choice in the Preferred 2 Pace, set to go as Race 10 for a $3,600 purse, during the 11-dash Tuesday card that starts at 6 p.m. ADT.

Dowling trains the 12-time winning son of Stonebridge Terror for owners Kingsley Walsh of Albany, P.E.I. and Frank Balcom of Amherst, N.S. The pacer, who will start from post five, had been racing in the Preferred class at Red Shores Charlottetown with four wins and four seconds from eight starts in 2023.

Mantario captured the Red Shores Summerside top class last week and gets saddled with post eight on Tuesday with Jason Hughes getting the driving assignment for trainer Jennifer Doyle.

Atlantic Sires Stakes graduate Stash It Away has post six for his seasonal debut from the Kevin MacLean barn with John Davidson in the driver's seat.

Rail control belongs to Woodmere Ideal Art, to be driven by Dale Spence, for trainer Sifroi Melanson with Moonwriter in rein to Ken Murphy holding down post two from the Colin Johnson barn. Murphy is currently in a tie for top driver with Corey MacPherson at the Prince County oval, both with six wins in 2023. MacPherson will drive Soccer Hanover, a winner of this class on May 22, from post three for trainer Leith Waite.

Navalny was victorious in his lone start of the 2023 Summer Meet and gets post four for the team of driver Adam Merner and trainer Melissa Rennie.

Post seven has Sauble Attack (Devon Wallace) for trainer Paul Biggar.

The "Backstretch Beat" sees Middleton Terror as the major player in Tuesday's Preferred 2 Pace: "Middleton Terror has been racing the finest pacers on the Eastern Seaboard and beating most of them with a win and three seconds since the meet began. He is not one to be ignored in any class."

The $3,000 back-up class in Race 8 has Mr Rielly favoured from post five for trainer-driver MacPherson and Island-based owners Jim Gorman of South Melville and Darlene Compton of South Pinette. The Steelhead Hanover gelding has five rivals including Dylan Sam (Murphy) and Winter Blast (Hughes).
