Pricevalleyrevitup made it three wins in a row in the Preferreds with a front-stepping score in the Wednesday feature race at Grand River Raceway.
Fresh off a pair of victories at London's Western Fair District, Pricevalleyrevitup headed to Elora to capture the $9,000 Preferred 2 Trot for trainer Randy Marriage and owner Aden Peake of Ballinafad, Ont.
Leaving from post seven with Billy Davis Jr. at the lines, the son of Revenue S carved out fractions of :29.1, :59.4, and 1:29.1 before holding off the favoured fast-closing mare, Dancehall Mistress (Doug McNair), for the half-length victory in 1:58.1 over the 'good' surface. Pricevalleyrevitup paid $5.10 to win as the slight second choice. Hartmann (Justin Turcotte), the longest shot on the board at odds of 52-1, followed over three lengths behind off a pocket trip.
Now a 33-time winner, the seven-year-old trotter sports a bankroll totalling $389,300.
Earlier on the card in the secondary feature event, Windsong Glamorous first manoeuvered between and then around horses to come on from the backfield for a 22-1 upset, winning the $6,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace in 1:55 flat. Travis Henry drove the six-year-old Astreos mare to the two length victory for Dundas, Ont. trainer/owner Vernon Cochrane. The winner returned $46.10 to her backers. St Lads Morgan (Davis Jr.) and favourite Sweet Bet (Scott Coulter) rounded out the top three finishers.
