Round two of eliminations for the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) Stakes took place with four $20,000 divisions Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.

There were two splits apiece for trotting fillies and colts and geldings.

Nanticoke Racing and Jim Morand’s Solo Command ($3.80, Morand) won the first division for colts and geldings in 1:59.4. Trained by Les Givens, the CR Commando gelding was an easy front end winner over Bellas Spunkypunk and English Professor.

Josh Green and Richard Lombardo’s Triple Command ($3.40, Ross Wolfenden) won the second division by reeling in pacesetter Royal Briefing late for a 2:00.1 victory. Cashmere Briefs was third. Triple Command, a two-time DSBF Final winner, notched his fourth win in six starts in 2013 for trainer Green.

The first filly division was won by Onery Inc.’s Podium ($2.80, Dylan Davis) who won by double-digit lengths in 1:59, the fastest split of the night. The Political Briefing filly was sent immediately to the lead by trainer/driver Davis and never looked back in a dominant win over Ellas Command and Irish Sport.

William Moffett’s Country Romance ($6.60, Allan Davis) completed a sweep of her eliminations with a 2:02 triumph in the second division. Trained by her owner, the Giant Hit filly made a sharp charge for the lead after the half-mile and held off Glitter Galore and Luscious Leigh for the victory.

In the $19,000 Open Trot, Rojan Stables, LA Express Stable, Allen Kaplan and Howard Taylor’s Hes Spooky ($3.60, Jon Roberts) was victorious in 1:55.3 for trainer Mike Hall.
