The eight-year old Bettors Delight gelding was timed in 1:54.4 winning the $10,000 Open Handicap Pace for owners David Ball and Jerry Reinhart, both of Batavia, New York.

New York Prime ($11.20) driven by reinsman John Cummings, Jr., shot straight to the lead from Post 4, and set all the fractions in the race, :28. :57.3, and 1:26.2. A :28.2 last quarter-mile put the winner two and a quarter lengths ahead of second place finisher Gerald N Sam (Jack Flanigen) at the finish line. Low And Right (Tom Agosti) came in third.

Trained by Alex Giuliani, the $5,000 share of the winning purse put New York Prime’s seasons bankroll at $20,069, and $219,489 lifetime.
