Andrew Glassmeyer's Southwind Mina ($6.20) registered her fifth straight win, scoring in 1:53 in the $24,658 Mares Open Pace on Tuesday, June 10 at Harrington Raceway.

Race favourite Square Deal (Tony Morgan) took the lead when the gates folded from post five through fractions of :27.3, :55.3 and 1:24.1. Driven by Pat Berry, Southwind Mina mounted a first-over attack and eventually wore down the pacesetter for an impressive 1:53 triumph. Square Deal held second, while Incaseyoudidntknow (Jim Morand) finished third.

Southwind Mina is trained by her owner. The win was the 11th of the year in 17 starts as the seven-year-old Always B Miki-R Marie Hanover mare continued her banner season.

On the undercard, Jeff Fought and Brian Carsey's Madelines Blk Jack ($7.80, Russell Foster) was a 1:52.2 winner in a $34,247 claiming event for trainer Jay Gannon.

Driver Tony Morgan had a triple to lead all drivers on the day.
