Harness racing's next potential budding stars hit the track at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday (June 10) in a morning session of 11 baby races.

A pair of trotting fillies tied for the fastest mark of the session. First, Lindys Irishcream clocked a 2:01.2 mile coming from off the speed to win by 1-3/4 lengths over Cardio Muscle and Leapsnbounds. Blake MacIntosh conditions the Father Patrick filly out of the Lucky Chucky mare Gin And Lindy, who sold at Harrisburg last fall for $35,000 and had Trevor Henry in the bike this morning. Later, Henry and MacIntosh teamed to match the session's trotting standard with Daisy Day, a Southwind Frank filly out of the Andover Hall mare Day Lily. The $24,000 Lexington purchase is a half sister to Ontario Sires Stakes winner Dabra Day and is out of a full sister to stakes-winning stallion Big Rigs and stakes-winning mare Miss Tezsla.

The Artspeak filly Starlight Dancer went the swiftest pacing mile of the session with a 1:56.1 blowout, besting Miss Brickley by 7-1/2 lengths with D A True Love another 12 lengths behind in third. Jonathan Drury piloted the Melissa Lamoureux trainee, who is a homebred for 1187422 Ontario Inc. The filly is the second foal from the Artistic Fella mare Thorne Seelster, who is a full sister to six-figure earner Titus Seelster and a half sister to Ontario success Temagami Seelster.
