Clark Confirms Return

The first ever 'A' harness meet at Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie will kick off on Friday, June 12 and Alberta horseman Keith Clark has confirmed that

he will be returning to his home province after racing in British Columbia for the winter months.

According to an article in the Daily Herald Tribune, Keith Clark, who will be inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame this August, is expected to make his way to Evergreen Park this month.

Pat Hill, Racing and Gaming Manager of Evergreen Park, is gearing up for the best summer meet at the half-miler, which will feature $3.5 million in purse money.

"We'll have nine hundred-plus race horses stabled on the grounds this summer. Whether it's harness, quarter or thoroughbred racing, we'll have it all here at Evergreen Park," says Hill. "We're very excited to feature 'two' live televised harness racing stake events here this year and 'five' quarter horse challenges to go with that. It should be lots of fun."
