Harrington Raceway's first two-year-old starter of 2009 was a winning one Sunday, as Russell and Elaine MacKinnon's Main a Dieu Too, driven by Ross Wolfenden, was victorious in 1:57.4.
Albeit early in the season, it was the fastest win time recorded this year for a two-year-old in North America.
The Cambest colt was making his first career start and was sent to the front immediately from Post 6. Main a Dieu Too set fractions of :28.4, :59, and 1:28.3 before holding off a closing kick by As Bad As Thunder to prevail in a tight photo. Mac Kinnon also trained last year's first two-year-old winner at Harrington.
Driver Tony Morgan registered five wins on the program to pull within 27 of 13,000 lifetime. Morgan would join an elite group of drivers that includes Herve Filion, Walter Case, Catello Manzi and Dave Palone as the only drivers in history to reach the win milestone.
