Arizona returned just off five days rest to romp in a move up in class at Flamboro Downs on Saturday night (May 6).
Off at 1-9, Arizona took the lead and received nothing but respect as she gradually opened her lead through the mile. Clicking a :28.3 first quarter, :57.1 half and 1:25.2 three-quarters, Arizona opened 3-1/2 lengths on pocket-sitter Big Diamond and scooted farther clear in the lane to clock a 1:54.2 mile while winning by five lengths.
Mike Timpano trains Arizona for owners Wendy Warren-Timpano and Herman Bardoel. The win was Arizona's seventh in a row and 14th lifetime from 24 starts, pushing her earnings to $83,630. She paid $2.10 to win.
