Once Western Fair Raceway’s leading reinsman, Doug McNair, got started there was no stopping him as he added five more wins to his record during Friday night’s 12-race card

.

McNair, who is accustomed to five-win nights at the London half-miler, captured his first driving title at the track in 2009. Tonight, he was partnered with four new teammates to push his yearly win total to 151 and earnings to $821,304. The 20-year-old is en route to his third consecutive million-dollar season since beginning his driving career in 2008.

McNair scored a natural hat trick in races two through four with Classic Commotion (2:03.2) for trainer Terry Piroski, Bebes Boy (1:58.2) for Peter Brickman and a maiden-breaking Mcelodian (2:01) for his father, Gregg McNair – the only winner he has previously driven. The resident of St. Thomas, ON also went back-to-back in the 10th and 11th races with Windsun Rachel (1:59.4) for Mike Bishop and Brontewine (2:03.3) for Paul Henry.
